چکیده
The cold tolerance studies were carried out in a bi-parental F2 population of cross between tolerant and susceptible parents (SKUA-529 HEERA, respectively). purpose was to screen the individuals for primary cold-tolerance-related attributes. information generated has direct application use identifying quantitative trait loci (QTLs) further can be used genotyping with an appropriate marker system. screening on F2-derived F3 seeds plants seedling agronomic traits, respectively. Two tests measuring conducted. In experiment I, germinated 28 days at 13 °C 7 °C, II, 72 h 96 once more °C. Coleoptile length, germination percentage, radical reduction percentages all measured I. radicle coleoptile regeneration II after period. improvement achieved through regrowth, as evidenced by difference second first measurements. individual lines from F2:3 that recorded high (%) #21, #13, #14, #15. percentage length (PERCOL %) observed ranges 23.33% 53.00%. (REDCOL also obtained, there less #15, #16, #14 it had range 38.46% 75%. Radicle regrowth (REDRAG) #7, #11, #30, #35, #36. Survival 33.33% up 100%, highest survival rate #16. main objective this rotation temperature emulate field conditions where been drop temperature. evaluations done stress found most these traits exhibited variability. mapping developed may utilized generate linkage map locate QTLs rice. Further, identified donors breeding programs aimed transfer low-temperature into backgrounds. general, genotype improved rates, growth leaf yellowing scores; survival; lesser development; recovery following shock stage demonstrated its resistance. Genotypes low greater number germination, slow higher score, growth, reduced indicated susceptibility.

Evaluation of grain yield and repeatability of drought tolerance indices for screening chickpea (Cicer aritinum L.) genotypes under rainfed conditions
In order to identify drought tolerant chickpea genotypes, an experiment was conducted in the west of Iran, during 2007-2009 cropping seasons. Several selection indices were used to illustrate genotypic differences in response to drought stress. The results of combined analysis of variance showed that year, genotype, stress conditions and their interaction effects were highly significant. Correl...
متن کاملFreezing Tolerance of Chickpea Genotypes in Controlled Conditions
Lack of chickpea cultivars tolerant to extreme freezing is a limiting factor for autumn planting of this crop in cold areas. In this study, 58 Kabuli-type chickpea genotypes and a control (an international sensitive genotype) were planted in pots and first exposed to -10°C and then to -15°C after being acclimated in natural conditions. No destructive effect of -10°C was observed in plants. So, ...
متن کاملInheritance of rice cold tolerance at the seedling stage
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) cold tolerance at the initial stages of development is a highly desirable trait to be incorporated into the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, cultivars, but selection for this trait must be performed under controlled temperature conditions, which limits the number of lines that can be evaluated. Knowledge of the inheritance of this trait is important to define breeding ...
